Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival
Arrival in Yerevan. Meeting at airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure time.
Day 02 : Yerevan City Tour
Breakfast at hotel.Experience Yerevan on foot, learn more about the iconic landmarks in this beautiful city, as well as the local anecdotes and humor.
Find your way to Republic Square, then move on to the Opera House. Visit the Cascades and enjoy a panoramic view of the Armenian capital from atop a giant stairway built into a Yerevan hillside. This walk through the city will reveal some of the hidden gems of Yerevan and offer an orientation to the city so you can go back in your own time to discover more of what Yerevan has to offer.
Back to hotel and overnight.
Day 03 : Garni – Geghard
Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Garni.Garni is a village in the Kotayk Province of Central Armenia. It is famous for the Sun Temple and the Gerhard Monastery. It is just 44 minutes by road from Yerevan.
The Sun Temple of Garni is one of the most ancient structures on Armenian territory. The Garni architectural complex was the summer residence of Armenian kings. Dedicated to Helios, the Roman god of the sun, the Garni temple was built by the Armenian King Tiridates I in the 1st century AD.
The Gerhard Monastery is a fantastic sample of medieval Armenian architecture. The most original parts of the complex are two churches in the depth of the rock.
It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status.Back to the hotel and overnight.
Day 04 : Yerevan City Tour
Breakfast at hotel.Start your day with a visit to the Tsakhkadzor sports complex. Located 55 km from Yerevan on the slope of Mounta Teghenis the complex is surrounded by forests and landscaped grounds and is a favorite for family, business meetings and training camps.
Next we visit the Kecharis Monastery, which is a remarkable 11-13-th century architectural ensemble of Armenia, located on the northwestern extremity of the Tsaghkadzor. Resort Tsaghkadzor lies in a picturesque valley on the eastern slope of mount Tsaghkunyatc at 1845 metres above sea level.
On the way back to Yerevan visit Lake Sevan, “the pearl of Armenia”, which is situated at an altitude of almost 2000 m above sea level. En route back to Yerevan visit the Churches of St. Karapet and Arakelots on the peninsula.
Back to Yerevan and overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Departure
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for onward journey
