Itinerary
Day 01 : Bangkok
On arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening you can enjoy a cruise on the Chao Phraya River with dinner. View the city by night from a riverside aspect and have a unique opportunity to take snapshots. On the opposite side you will see the glittering Grand Palace and the holy temple of Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha) in all its night-time finery.Day 02 : Bangkok
After breakfast, you will be met by our representative who will take you for a tour of the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha. Built in 1782, The Grand Palace represents the full range of royal architecture of the Rattanakosin period. Some of the buildings follow traditional Thai architectural styles, whilst others have distinct European features. Within the palace grounds one can find the temple commonly called Wat Phra Kaew. A tour of the historic and modern Krung Thep, or ‘City of Angels’ as Bangkok is known to the Thai people. The programme includes a visit to Wat Jetuphon (better known as Wat Pho), the oldest of the city temples situated opposite the Grand Palace. The temple is renowned as Thailand’s oldest university and there are instructive murals illustrating the finer points of Thai massage, which is still taught and practiced here. The highlight is the 46 metre long and 15 metre high statue of a reclining Buddha. Also included is a visit to Wat Traimitr, located near to Bangkok’s main railway station. The temple houses a 5.5 tonne gold Buddha, which was discovered when it’s plaster casing broke whilst being transported to its new home from the port area. The tour terminates via a visit to a jewellery retailer.Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 03 : Bangkok
After breakfast depart to the village of Damnernsaduak, about 110km from Bangkok. Visit a coconut plantation to see the harvesting, then on to the market, set amidst a network of canals radiating out into the orchards of the surrounding countryside. Farmers gather fruits, vegetables and prepared dishes to trade along the canals. Optional boat hire is available at the market. Further optional visits include a snake farm, an elephant ride, and a handicrafts workshop.Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 04 : Bangkok
Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for onward flight.
